A young actress must be exceptionally talented and beautiful to be heralded as a "Star of the Future" by so many Hollywood critics. But that is precisely what many people are predicting for up-and-coming model and actress, Megan Fox. Although she is still in her early twenties, Megan shows a clear resolve to stay at the top of her profession despite intense competition. Megan Fox is an actress who firmly believes in her own glittering future.

Her family boasts an ethnic mixture of Irish, French and Native American ancestry. When she was small, Megan loved to be on stage. Early on, she also showed a precocious aptitude for acting. Megan began drama classes when she was just five years old. When she was 10, Megan and her family, including her older sister, moved to Florida. This move helped deepen Megan's commitment to her acting and dancing classes. By the time she was 13 years old, Megan was already doing some acting and modelling professionally. However, her career really began to take off after she won several awards at the 1999 American Modelling and Talent Convention in South Carolina, USA.

Fox's film debut came in the 2001 film, Holiday in the Sun, where she played a spoilt heiress, Brianna Wallace. Fox also made a number of television appearances around this time before starring alongside Lindsay Lohan in the 2004 film, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Shortly afterwards, Fox landed a role in the ever-popular television series, Hope and Faith, where she played Sydney Shanowski until 2006.

But perhaps Fox is best known for her part as the leading female role in the 2007 action film, Transformers. Based on the toy and cartoon saga, Fox played the movie's love interest with great aplomb. This role gained Fox international recognition and a strong base of loyal fans along the way. With a box-office hit movie under her belt, the Hollywood producers immediately signed Fox up to make two more Transformers sequels. But whilst the film helped to transform Fox's acting career, the filming of Transformers was not without some controversy. Michael Bay, the film's director, was unhappy that Fox was underweight and ordered her to gain 10 pounds for filming. As Fox admitted later, she was at her all-time heaviest when she was filming. However, many of her admirers say that this was when Fox was at her most beautiful!
